Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
This policy explains which personal data this website processes, why, and what rights you have. It is short because we collect very little.
1. Who is responsible
Northfold Studio Ltd., 14 Quay Lane, Harbourton HB1 2QT, United Kingdom, is the controller for this website. You can reach us at hello@northfold.example or +44 20 7946 0123. We have not appointed a data protection officer, so please send any privacy question to the same address.
2. The short version
This website sets no cookies, runs no advertising or tracking and has no user accounts. We receive personal data only when you send the contact form, sign up for the newsletter, or write to us or call us. We never sell data and use it only for the purposes described here.
3. Hosting
The website is hosted by Framer B.V., Amsterdam, Netherlands, which processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. When you open a page, the servers process what your browser sends, such as IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system, to deliver the page and protect the site against attacks. Framer also counts page views in aggregated form without cookies, so we see totals such as the most read pages but never individual visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and working website, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR.
4. No cookies and no tracking
We set no cookies and use no service that builds visitor profiles, no advertising pixels and no social media plugins. Fonts, images and scripts are delivered by our hosting provider. The effort calculator and the animations on this website run entirely in your browser, and nothing you enter there is sent to us or stored.
5. Contact form
When you send the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your company if you enter one, your message and your consent. The form sends these details over an encrypted connection to our studio inbox, and we use them only to answer your request and, if you ask for it, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is the consent you give with the checkbox and the steps you ask us to take before a possible contract, Article 6(1)(a) and (b) UK GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time by email.
6. Newsletter
If you enter your email address in the newsletter field, we use it only to send our operations note once a month. Before the first issue we send one email asking you to confirm, and nothing else arrives until you do. Every issue contains an unsubscribe link, and we delete your address as soon as you use it. The legal basis is your consent, Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR.
7. Email and phone
If you write to us or call us, we use your contact details and what you tell us only to handle your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries or, where your request concerns a project, the steps before a contract.
8. How long we keep data
Server log data is kept by our hosting provider only as long as security requires and is then deleted. Contact messages are deleted 12 months after the conversation ends, unless they lead to a project and tax or accounting rules require us to keep them longer. Newsletter addresses are deleted as soon as you unsubscribe.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access your data and to have it corrected, deleted or restricted, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office or to the data protection authority where you live or work. We do not use automated decision making or profiling.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the website or the law changes, and the version published on this page always applies.
This privacy policy is sample text for the Northfold template, so replace it with a policy written for your business, your hosting and your form setup before you publish.
